I love colours, textures, unique items and using my hands to create the unexpected. I came by this love naturally, growing up in a family where every member was artistic and multi talented.
My Granny lived with us when I was little, and some of my fondest memories are of my sitting by her side, listening to her stories and knitting. Or competing with my sister to see who would be finished first with the scarf or socks.
As I grew older, I also dabbled in crochet and sewing, and although I often combine different textile techniques, knitting is still my favorite way of expressing myself. Instead of canvas and paint I use yarns, needles, buttons, zippers, leather etc. I choose yarns for their colours, textures and feel, then I intuitively combine different yarns, stitches and techniques to end up with a funky, absolutely one-of-a-kind, wearable piece of art
